International Mental Health Cooperation and Training
Center, Taiwan (IMHCTC) visited UMSurabaya Faculty of Medicine during the
Visiting Professor activity on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. This event was held in
the Theater Room, floor 7, building G, UMSurabaya.
IMHCTC sent six delegates they were
Dr. Chou Huang-Chih as Superintendent of KSPH, Dr. Chou Li-Shiu as Principal
Investigator of IMHCTC, KSPH Consultant of KSPH., Wang Shu-Hui as Co-PI of
IMHCTC, KSPH Chief of Planning office of KSPH, Hsiang Yung-Chung as IMHCTC
Consultant, Wang Chun-Mei as CEO of Comprehensive Long-Term Care Institution,
Yeh Ling-Hsiu as Assistant of IMHCTC.
International Mental Health
Cooperation and Training Center (IMHCTC) s an institution under the authority of
the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MoHW) of government of Taiwan. The Center
is composed of six (6) leading psychiatric hospitals and one (1) university in
Taiwan, namely, Kaohsiung Municipal Kai-Syuan Psychiatric Hospital, Taoyuan
Psychiatric Center (MoHW), Taipei Veterans General Hospital Yuli Branch,
Tri-Service General Hospital Beitou Branch, Kaohsiung Veterans General
Hospital, Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital and National
Sun Yat-Sen University. The purpose of this center is to integrate Taiwan’s
mental health network and to collaborate with international mental health
institutions by exchanging knowledge and introducing its distinguished
community rehabilitation programs psychiatric as well as hospital management.
IMHCTC intends to collaborate with the Faculty of
Medicine, UMSurabaya. Therefore, in this activity, both parties introduced their
institution. IMHCTC also offers several programs for lecturers and medical
students who attended the event, such as Joint research, student exchange,
lecturer exchange, joint conference, etc. Furthermore, the activity ended with
the signing of the MoU.
It is an honor to be able to work with IMHCTC. We hoped that this collaboration could become a support for students, lecturers
and universities to develop better.
